    Wrote Flautist, ”Charles Laughton’s off-camera voice directing Robert Mitchum and child actors Billy Chapin and Sally Jane Bruce in the famous river scene from ‘The Night of the Hunter’ (1955).  It’s fascinating to watch Robert Mitchum, as terrifying psycho-preacher Harry Powell, utter one blood-curdling scream after another, none of which were the one used in the film. This clip shows the little girl singing the haunting ‘Pretty Fly’ tune in her own voice.  (In the film it was dubbed by an adult singer.)”

    Dividing the paper into exactly equal lengths or angles enables many other techniques to be performed. The position of the folds can be marked with a ruler and pencil, but it is much quicker and much more accurate to make them by hand. It is the hand-made method of dividing the paper into sixteenths that is shown here.

    Paul Jackson has been a professional paper folder and paper artist since 1982 and is the author of 30 books on paper arts and crafts. He has taught the techniques of folding on more than 150 university-level design courses in the UK, Germany, Belgium, the US, Canada and Israel. These include courses in Architecture, Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Textile Design, Jewellery, Product Design, Packaging, Ceramics, Industrial Design, Fine Art, Basic Design and Interior Design.
